Our Stainless Steel Wedgewater™ Media filter bed systems are constructed of interlocking stainless steel Wedgewater™ filter panels. These Panels are extremely durable, and feature a special non- clogging design, easy maintenance, and near perfect reliability. All of our Wedgewater™ systems require a mere 1/6 to 1/10 the space of conventional sand drying beds. No specialized skills are required for operation. The system functions by force of gravity, so the only energy costs incurred are the minor requirements of the auxiliary pumps and polymer equipment.

Durability

Premium Stainless Steel Wedgewater™ Media can handle higher vehicle weights than our Polyurethane Wedgewater™ media, and has a proven life expectancy of well over 20 years.

The Process

Flocculated solids are placed on top of a bed containing the Wedgewater™ media. Typical water and wastewater treatment plant sludges can be dewatered to a liftable, truckable state in only a few days, compared to weeks or months with conventional sand drying beds. The system provides high capture rates and extremely clean filtrate. Dried solids removal can be accomplished using a small front-end loader. Then a quick wash down with a hose is all that’s needed to begin the next cycle.
